Sacramento State grad photos.
Located on the banks of the American River, Sacramento State boasts over 3,500 trees, a pleasant scenery for studying. Since trees and plants can be found everywhere, many iconic spots feature flora in the background for some added greenery to your photos.
Here are four locations to take your graduation photos at California State University, Sacramento.
1. “california state university sacramento” signs.
Greeting you on the north side of campus are two large “California State University Sacramento” signs with trees in the back. Depending on the time of day, choose the one which doesn’t have harsh lighting hitting you directly on the face. There’s also another sign that’s closer to the south side of campus and features a more flowery setting.

2. ginkgo tree path between alpine hall and calaveras hall.
Towards the end of the day, the sun shines brightly through the ginkgo trees between Alpine Hall and Calaveras Hall. It’s vibrant and matches the “tree-theme” that Sacramento State takes pride in.

3. library quad.
Right before the entrance to the library, Library Quad marks the center of campus and is a pretty underrated photo spot. The plants growing through the arbors and the trees, provide you with a shaded environment, avoiding the harsh light and adding some "vibrant green to your photos.

4. guy west bridge.
Designed after the Golden Gate, this suspension bridge is a favorite among grads. It links the neighboring community of Campus Commons to the university and is a popular bike trail. That said, don’t be surprised if someone comes biking down the bridge – just be prepared to get out of the way every now and then.
