5 spots to take
CSULB grad photos.
Cal State Long Beach features minimalist buildings in the International style of architecture. But emphasis is placed on the various landscaped areas that are found across campus, giving off a park-like setting. Tons of trees can be found which help soften the large buildings on campus.
Here are some locations to use for graduation portraits at California State University, Long Beach.
1. “go beach” letters.
Spelling out the campus motto “GO BEACH,” these letters are painted a bright yellow, standing out from its surroundings. Each letter is made out of concrete weighing 2.5 tons and each one at six feet tall. It’s a popular photo-op not only for grads but prospective students as well.

2. CSULB sign.
Off the Atherton Street entrance to the school, you’re greeted by two “California State University, Long Beach” signs. The landscaping around the signs is pleasing with trees and decorative flowers.
Just be aware, since this is off the street, it is more of a public place with lots of cars passing by. If you’re a bit shyer, then consider taking photos elsewhere.

More popularly known as the dandelion-shaped fountain or the molecule fountain, Lyman Lough Fountain is right outside Brotman Hall.
